Congratulations to Terri Alper, Ashley Falls Classified Employee of the Year!
There is a sign in the Ashley Falls office which reads “Grand Central Station”. Anyone who has spent more than a few minutes in the office knows first-hand what a busy place it can be. Terri is in constant motion the moment she arrives on campus, keeping everything running smoothly. Her ability to multi-task impresses anyone who has seen her in action. Even more impressive is her ability to keep a smile on her face no matter how frenzied the day might become.
It is hard to imagine Ashley Falls without Terri. She is often the first person students, parents, staff and visitors encounter when coming to school or contacting our office. Her personable approach lets every individual know they are valued and important. We are fortunate to have Terri as part of the Ashley Falls family. Congratulations and thank you, Terri!
Congratulations to Andrea Peddycord, Ashley Falls Teacher of the Year!
Andrea Peddycord can be depended upon to exceed expectations when working on a project or with colleagues. She is regularly called upon to lead staff development sessions at the site and continues to be a valuable resource to new and experienced educators.
In addition to her role as a sixth grade teacher, Andrea successfully organizes and leads a team of teachers in implementing the San Marcos Writing Camp in Del Mar each summer.
Andrea’s knowledge of curriculum and her skillful work with colleagues are among the many reasons she is an asset to Ashley Falls School. She has a deep understanding of Professional Learning Communities and utilizes innovative and creative strategies to meet every child’s needs. Her influence reaches beyond her classroom and grade level team and into the many programs in place at Ashley Falls. Andrea’s contributions are intelligent, organized and directly impact students’ success.
It is with pleasure that Andrea’s colleagues selected her to receive this year’s award. Congratulations and thank you, Andrea!
