Friendships are the best indicator of social and emotional development for kids.  Having good friends goes hand in hand with feeling good and happy at school.  Conversely, children who either struggle to make friends or complain about being teased, often feel anxiety and stress at school.  Parents are often unaware how their child actually behaves in "friend fights" and thus may not be accurately helping them navigate through their social worlds.  Come and learn about bullying and aggression and friendships and how you can help (or hurt) in the social situations that your child will find themselves in at school.

Science Field Day

Wanted:  Students in 4^th-6^th grade that love Science!

Why?   To represent Ashley Falls School in the Annual San Diego Science Field Day in May.

How Many People Participate?  Sixteen students 4^th-6^th grade

How Do I Get More Information?  Attend a mandatory informational meeting on Tuesday, January 26^th at recess of lunch/recess in the Science Lab.

Who Is My Contact Person?  Mrs. Zebold.  Please talk to her at school or contact her via email to ask any necessary questions.  bzebold@dmusd.org

Do We Want Parent Involvement?  Yes, parents act as coaches and attend the event in May.  Have them contact Mrs. Zebold if they are interested in being involved in coaching or in any other capacity.

The Ashley Falls School Accountability Report Card (SARC) shares important facts about our school with parents, guardians, and the community at large. State and federal laws require all schools to publish a SARC each year. The purpose of the SARC is to provide the public with information they can use to evaluate and compare schools.
    In the report, you will be able to review the academic achievement of our students, the progress we’ve made toward achieving our goals; and data about our students, teachers, facilities, financial resources, and educational programs.
