  • Countdown to Summer: Wednesday, June 7 from 4:30 to 7:00 pm

    Save the date! Countdown to Summer is just a month away, and we need volunteers to help on the big day! If you can spare an hour or so to lend a hand in the Garden or help with Spirit Wear sales, please contact Paz Silbert at pazcamp@hotmail.com. Until then, mark your calendar and get ready for our annual celebration. We'll have Master Sports Dodgeball, Pedal Carts and an Obstacle Course, plus Field Games with Mr. Phillip. High-energy dance tunes will be provided by DJ Primo. Come hungry and leave happy! Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

  • Schedule for the Last Week of School

    Here is the schedule for our last week of school to help with your planning. Wednesday, June 14 will be a full day of school. Students will be dismissed 2:30 p.m. On Thursday, June 15 join us for our annual family Dancefest. The family picnic on the field will begin at 11:45 followed by grade level dance performances starting at 12:30 p.m. Please keep in mind, it is difficult to estimate when each grade will be performing, but the event usually concludes by 2:00 p.m. On Friday, June 16 Sixth Grade Promotion will begin at 8:15 a.m. It is a minimum day schedule. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.

  • Dancefest - Thursday, June 15

    On Thursday, June 15 join us for our annual family Dancefest. The family picnic on the field will begin at 11:45 followed by grade level dance performances starting at 12:30 p.m. Please keep in mind, it is difficult to estimate when each grade will be performing, but the event usually concludes by 2:00 p.m. This year, you can buy Jersey Mike's mini sandwiches ahead of time and pick up your lunch kits at Dancefest. Each kit is $5 and includes chips, water bottle and your choice of turkey, Super Sub, veggie or ham. Order by Sunday, end-of-day, June 11th. Click the title to place your order.

  • Announcing Next Year's School Play: Walt Disney's Lion King Jr.!

    From the incredibly talented production team that brought you Aladdin and Peter Pan, the PTA is proud to announce next year's play: Walt Disney's Lion King Jr. The play will be performed in spring of 2018, so auditions are tentatively scheduled for February with rehearsals through March and April.   • 2017-2018 Kindergarten Schedule

    From August 28 until October 6, 2017, our Kindergarteners will have a modified schedule. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday they will have their own early dismissal at 12:40 pm. On Wednesdays, they will be dismissed 12:30 p.m. with students in grades 1 through 6.

  • Before School Care Available Starting at 7:15 a.m.

    Superivision on campus begins at 7:15 a.m for students in grades 1 through 6. Students are able to play on their grade level playgrounds or visit our newly renovated Library.

  • Congratulations to Our Volunteer of the Year: Mireille Barnard!

    We are delighted to announce Mireille Barnard as this year’s Del Mar Heights Volunteer of the Year! Mireille has been a dedicated volunteer for our school and has worked tirelessly on numerous PTA programs and events that have had a direct impact on each and every one of our students. She was instrumental in the creation of Heights Cares which has organized volunteer days at Feeding America, beach cleanups, the Halloween Costume Exchange, the Great Candy Giveback and more! She also helped plan and organize our school-wide charity fundraisers, which have raised more than $5,500 in student donations for local, student-founded charities. Mireille has served in multiple positions on the PTA Board, volunteering her time to numerous PTA committees, events, and projects. Her desire to build an inclusive school community has led her to work on a variety of communications initiatives for the PTA, ensuring our community is well-informed and engaged. These project include the weekly Dolphin Digest, the Kindergarten Parent Newsletter, new family outreach, communications with our neighbors and community members, and parent input surveys. Thank you, Mireille, for your selfless dedication to our school community. Your impact on our families is immeasurable. We appreciate everything you do!
