  • Parent Workshop on "Frienemies" with Dr. Adria O'Donnell - December 1st, 2017 at 8:15am

    “Frienemies: Best Friends & Worst Enemies.” Do your kids’ “good” friends sometimes treat them badly? Do they get into “weird friend fights” for confusing reasons? Does your son or daughter stress about standing up for themselves? This interactive workshop will help your child understand some of the subtle forms of aggression that cause them social stress and confusion. Following the parent workshop, Dr. O'Donnell will be sharing strategies with our 3rd and 4th grade students to help them learn the difference between mean vs bullying behaviors, effective conflict resolution skills such as “BRAVE Talk” and how to NOT give their power away to others....

  • Speak Up Survey 2017

    We are excited to announce that the Del Mar Union School District is participating in Speak Up 2017 from November 8th through January 19th! Speak Up is an online national research project that provides an easy way for students, parents, and educators to participate in our decisions about technology, as well as contribute to the national dialogue about educational technology. Since 2003, over 5 million K-12 education stakeholders have participated in the annual online surveys. Data findings are shared each year with federal, state and local policymakers to inform education programs, policies and funding.

  • STEAM+ at Sycamore Ridge!

    STEAM+ learning is funded by the school district (DMUSD) and the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF). This year, DMSEF needs to raise at least $1.68 million dollars to meet program needs for next year. Your support is critical to providing STEAM+ learning in our schools....

  • The Imagination Machine

    Does your child like to write stories? Looking for a fun weekend or Thanksgiving break project to keep your Stallion busy? The PTA is proud to bring back The Imagination Machine to Sycamore Ridge on Monday, February 6, for two school assemblies (K-3, 4-6). The Imagination Machine will take stories written by selected Sycamore Ridge students and bring them to life with professional actors, music, props and costumes! ALL grade levels are encouraged to participate by submitting their stories to their homeroom teachers no later than Friday, December 8. Get writing today!

  • Registration for the 2017-2018 School Year

    New families to Sycamore Ridge boundaries may register their child(ren) for the 2017-2018 school year beginning June 19, 2017 at the district office. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before September 1st. Two current proofs of residency, immunization record and proof of age are required to register...

  • Raptor Visitor Management System

    The Del Mar Union School District considers the health and safety of our students and staff to be our highest priority. For the increased safety of your child, the district uses a visitor management system. The purpose of this system is to ensure that we have an accurate record of campus visitors, and that individuals visiting our schools are authorized to do so. Every visitor will be asked to present a government issued identification to the front office staff in order to access the campus or to sign-out a student before dismissal...
