Mrs. Zebold was born and raised in northern Ohio and attended the University of Cincinnati where she received her Bachelor of Education in 1985, in addition to her Masters of Education in 2000. While in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Zebold taught for 17 years in Kindergarten, First Grade, Third Grade, and for the majority of her career, Fourth and Fifth Grade. After moving to San Diego in 2003, Mrs. Zebold accepted a job at Ashley Falls as the Science Lab Educator before going back into the classroom in 5th grade at Carmel Del Mar in 2011.
Mrs. Zebold was named Del Mar District Teacher of the Year in 2006, and Carmel Del Mar Teacher of the Year in the 2013-2014 school year.
Mrs. Zebold is married to Eric Zebold and resides in Carmel Valley. She has three children: Michael (26), a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, working as the Operations Manager for Modern Times in Portland, Oregon, Marissa (24), a graduate of Northern Arizona, also working for Modern Times in Portland, Oregon as their Outreach Coordinator, and Grant (22), a graduate of the University of Nebraska. Grant is working for the State of Nebraska as an Environmental Engineer.
Mrs. Zebold is loving another 5th grade year with her wonderful teammates and students.
