• Hello students and families!  My name is Emily Stengle, and I am one of the Resource Specialists for grades K-5 here at Ashley Falls.
I am originally from Pennsylvania and taught for 8 years as a Resource Specialist and a Reading Specialist for a school district near Harrisburg, PA.  In January 2016, my husband and I moved to San Diego, and I taught in a 4th grade GATE cluster classroom for the San Diego Unified School District.  I earned my Master’s in Reading from Edinboro University of PA and my English Language Learner Authorization from Penn State University.  While I’ve enjoyed all of my teaching experiences, my true passion is providing students with extra support and specialized instruction in a Learning Center environment.

Two years ago, I married my wonderful husband, Andrew.  He works as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a rehab facility.  We have two adorable dogs, Henry and Archie.  In our free time, we love taking them to play at the dog beach or to go hiking in the area.

I'm looking forward to starting the year and supporting students in the Learning Center!  Please contact me at estengle@dmusd.org or (858)259-7812 ext. 3091 if you have any questions.
