Meet Ms. Lemoine...I am so excited for the upcoming school year! I recently moved to San Diego from Baton Rouge, Louisiana... so, hello California! I taught in Baton Rouge for 6 years in both Kindergarten and First grade. My undergrad degree was in Elementary Education, which I graduated with in 2006. After graduation, I took some time to travel the country, working in Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Alaska, and ending up in Colorado, where I decided to get back to my passion of working with kids. I started a graduate program in Denver, then moved back to Baton Rouge to complete my M. Ed. while teaching in the public school system. My M. Ed. is in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in elementary literacy. I also traveled through Central America during the summer of 2010, and Volunteered to teach English in Costa Rica. This experience helped deepen my understanding of how to teach English Language Learners in the classroom.I am so thankful I have the opportunity to start this school year at Ashley Falls! I love what I do, and can't wait to learn about my students. I truly feel I am a life long learner. My students will teach me as much as I teach them :)Besides teaching, I love being a mom to my one and half year old son, Skyler. We love being near the beach! I also enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, coffee, and hanging out with my sister and niece (who live down the street). I look forward to being a part of the Ashley Falls community this year!
