Character & Leadership Programs
At Del Mar Heights School we believe that your child’s social and emotional growth is equally as important as your child’s academic development. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment with opportunities for all of our students to develop resiliency, empathy, and compassion. Each year all students participate in our award winning Understanding Differences program, a disability awareness program designed to cultivate empathy and understanding of people with disabilities. In addition, throughout the year students participate in the Kindness Counts Book Club, which utilizes a school wide theme to challenge our young thinkers to become people of depth and insight, prepared to engage more fully with each other and the world. Also, all fifth and sixth grade students have the opportunity to become student leaders through Dolphin Leadership.
