• Jason Soileau is looking forward to a great 2018-2019 school year as the Principal of Del Mar Heights!  This will be his first year in California, and he is so excited to be a part of the Del Mar Union School District. He has recently relocated to San Diego from Texas and this will mark his 25th year in Education!

Mr. Soileau started his educational path in Louisiana, where he attended McNeese State University earning a bachelor’s degree in special education and elementary education.  Shortly after earning his bachelor’s degree, he attended classes at Northwestern State University where he obtained a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision.

Before becoming the principal at Del Mar Heights, he worked in many educational capacities throughout Louisiana and Texas.  After 7 years in Louisiana teaching grades 3-5 and high school, he moved to Arlington, Texas, where he he taught 5th and 6th grade.  He also worked in Austin and Houston as an elementary school teacher, middle school assistant principal, and elementary school principal.

Mr. Soileau is excited to continue his journey in California and work with the Del Mar Heights community.  In his free time, Jason enjoys the beach, hiking different trails in San Diego, playing softball and volleyball, and reading a good book.  He also cherishes time with his “one eyed” pug, Miss BeBe. Most of all, he is excited for a great year ahead at Del Mar Heights School!
