She continued on to earn her Master of Arts in Education from California State University San Marcos and an Administration Credential from San Diego State University.

Before becoming the Principal of Torrey Hills School in August of 2017, she worked as a teacher on Special Assignment for two years in the Instructional Services Department at the Del Mar Union School District. As a Teacher on Special Assignment, Ms. Stanton was responsible for overseeing K-6 literacy development and intervention, and English language development support for English learners, both at the district level and in support of the Principal and staff at Torrey Hills School. Prior to that position, Ms. Stanton taught 5th grade at Sycamore Ridge School for ten years.

Ms. Stanton grew up in Poway and continues to enjoy living and working in sunny San Diego.  When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family which includes her mother and father, two sisters, brother-in-law, niece and nephew.

Ms. Stanton is looking forward to working with the Torrey Hills community.  Please join Ms. Stanton for the monthly Principal Chats.  It is a great opportunity to get to know each other better and learn more about the happenings at Torrey Hills School.
