Jessica Morales is starting her fourth year as the principal of Carmel Del Mar School . She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Sociology and then attended the University of California San Diego to earn a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. After spending two years training to become a teacher at UCSD, she was hired in the Del Mar Union School District in 2001 and has taught third, fifth, and sixth grade.
After teaching for 12 years, Mrs. Morales pursued her interest in school administration earning an Administrative Services Credential and a Masters of Arts in Education from California State University San Marcos. Mrs. Morales was hired in the Carlsbad Unified School District as an Assistant Principal at Calavera Hills Elementary and Calavera Hills Middle School.
Mrs. Morales continued her journey in school administration by becoming the principal of Carmel Del Mar School in 2013. She is passionate about building an inspiring school culture, innovative curriculum, and social justice for all students. Mrs. Morales loves spending time with her two children and husband, going to the beach, and enjoying all the amazing opportunities our San Diego community offers.
