We are very excited to offer school lunches with Choicelunch again this year! Online ordering for Choicelunch with be through LunchIsServed.com.
Child Nutrition Services will continue to offer a wide variety of healthy and delicious meal choices made from scratch every day. Students will continue to have a variety of menu options per day. Our menu offers at least one vegetarian option every day and includes choices for students with dietary sensitivities such as dairy allergies and gluten intolerance. An array of seasonal and organic fruits and vegetables are a part of the menu and included with each meal. Students also receive a healthy snack and choice of beverage (1% lowfat milk, nonfat reduced sugar chocolate milk or water). Our program has all of the variety, nutrition, and convenience you could require.
To ensure that your student has a meal ready for each school day please follow the ordering deadlines and instructions:
1.) All Meals must be ordered by 9:00 AM one school day before lunch service.
2.) Emergency lunches may be available from Choicelunch, however there will be an additional $1.50 convenience fee added to the price of the meal.
Refund Schedule for Meal Cancellations
To cancel a meal, please go into your Lunch Is Served meal calendar and remove the item by clicking on the date and selecting "cancel lunch." If you cancel your meal by 9:00 AM on the day prior to lunch service, you will receive full meal credit for a future order. Cancellations received in the online ordering system between 9:01 AM on the day prior to lunch service and 9:00 AM on the date of service shall receive 50% credit. No credit will be given for meals cancelled after the 9:00 AM deadline on the day of service. All meals credited on the Lunch Is Served account shall remain on the account for use with respect to future meal orders.
We know sometimes parents can forget about sending a lunch, or make a mistake ordering lunch, so Emergency Meals are available each day, but will cost an additional $1.50. Emergency meals from ChoiceLunch are in limited supply, but we will always ensure your child has a meal if he or she comes through the lunch line. If a ChoiceLunch Emergency Meal is unavailable, DMUSD will provide a lunch for your student, and you will be billed through DMUSD Child Nutrition Services.
Credit on Lunch Is Served Account
A 2.5% service fee will be charged for all refunds on your Lunch Is Served account.
