School Closure Plan Update, 3/30/2020

Dear DMUSD Families,

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones healthy and happy. I want to share an update with you about school closure. On Saturday, local county agencies extended closures and the “stay home” orders for San Diego County indefinitely due to the rising coronavirus cases and concerns for public health and safety. Officially, for our school district this means we will not be returning to school until further notice.

This week is underway with remote learning.  Next week is spring break. We look forward to interactive remote learning for all students when we return after Spring Break on April 13th

Please know we will reopen our schools as soon as it is determined safe to do so, and it is our hope that we will reopen some time before the school year ends.  We appreciate and understand the tremendous challenges ahead for all of us. We truly thank you for your patience and support as we manage this together.

Sincerely,
Holly McClurg, Ph.D.
Superintendent
