Dear DMUSD Families,

As I begin my first year as Superintendent of the Del Mar Union School District, I want to share how grateful I am for the warm welcome I’ve received and how inspired I am by this community. From my earliest visits to classrooms and conversations with students, staff, and parents. I have seen firsthand the deep commitment to ensuring every child has an extraordinary learning experience.

In DMUSD, extraordinary things happen every day. This school year, we will continue moving forward with Destination 2028!, our bold strategic plan that places students at the very center of our work. Our vision is clear: to ignite genius and empower every student to advance the world. We know that children learn best when they are engaged, curious, and empowered to explore their own potential. When they are given the opportunity to collaborate, create, and think critically, they flourish, not just academically, but as compassionate and capable citizens.

As I step into this role, I am excited to build on the strong foundation that already exists in DMUSD. Together with our talented educators, dedicated staff, and supportive families, we will continue to shape learning experiences that are innovative, joyful, and transformative.

This year is about more than academics, it’s about belonging, discovery, and possibility. I am honored to serve as your Superintendent and eager to listen, learn, and lead alongside you. The road ahead is bright, and I look forward to all the ways our students will shine.
