A Commitment to Equity and Belonging for All Families

A Commitment to Equity and Belonging for All Families

At Del Mar Union School District, we believe every child matters, every voice is valued, and every family belongs. Guided by our Destination 2028! Strategic Plan, we are committed to cultivating a safe, inclusive, and caring culture where students, staff, and families are respected for their unique contributions and diverse perspectives.

We recognize that today’s world can create uncertainty for some families. We want to reassure our community that DMUSD does not and will not collect or disclose information about the citizenship or immigration status of students or their family members, except as required by state or federal law. In accordance with Board Policy 5125, the confidentiality of all student records is protected, and no information will be shared for immigration enforcement purposes without parental consent, a judicial order, or judicial subpoena.

Our priority is the well-being of every student. We remain steadfast in our responsibility to provide equitable learning experiences, foster a sense of belonging, and support the safety, dignity, and success of all children in our care. Together, we are building a community where diversity is celebrated, inclusion is embraced, and every learner can thrive.
