2025-2026 Program Information

Del Mar Union School District’s Spanish Language Immersion Program (SLIP) is a one-way immersion program committed to developing students with high academic achievement, bilingualism and biliteracy, and sociocultural competence who are empowered to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Through high-quality instruction and meaningful learning experiences in Spanish and English, students build confidence, take risks, and develop a learner’s mindset.

The  Spanish Language Immersion Program is offered at two schools, Del Mar Hills Academy and Ashley Falls School. Students enrolling in kindergarten or entering first grade may apply to participate in the program. Please note, space is limited in the program for both Kindergarten and Grade 1.

Only families who reside within DMUSD boundaries, regardless of DMUSD school of residence, are eligible to apply to and participate in the program. Interdistrict transfers from other school districts are not eligible to participate in the Spanish Language Immersion Program.

If you are interested in applying to participate in the 2025-2026 program, please contact Molly McGregor, Executive Assistant for Instructional Services, at mmcgregor@dmusd.org
